About BVC Gender from Finger Dataset
The BVC Gender from finger dataset was acquired from African subjects between June and November 2018.
The fingerprints were acquired in three terms:
Term 1 – June 21 to July 7, 2018
Term 2 – July 26 to August 10, 2018
Term 3 – November 12 to 29, 2018
These three (3) terms were collapsed into two sessions – S1 and S2, respectively.
Some subjects only participated in one of the sessions while others participated in two terms.
The total number of subjects with complete information in the Gender Fingerprint dataset collection are 558, of which 361 are males and 197 are females. The total number of fingerprints are 14,630 consisting of 8,760 male fingerprints and 5,870 female fingerprints.
This dataset contains four zip files of a total of 1167MB size.
