Dr. Ogechukwu (Oge) N. Iloanusi is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and a Full Professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Nigeria.
Her research spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, biometrics, generative AI systems, blockchain, scientific computing, and intelligent data-driven systems, with applications in healthcare analytics, AI-IoT systems, and large-scale computational infrastructure.
At the University of Notre Dame, she has contributed to interdisciplinary initiatives involving generative AI platforms, cyberinfrastructure, distributed analytics, and large-scale genomics and epidemiological systems, including the REDI-NET project supported by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command.
Dr. Iloanusi directs the Biometrics Vision and Computing (BVC) Research Group and Laboratory, where she leads research in biometrics recognition, deep learning, multimodal analytics, computer vision, and intelligent systems. Her work has resulted in over 60 journal and conference publications spanning biometrics, AI, computer vision, healthcare analytics, and engineering systems.
She is the first female Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nigeria and served as the first female Chair of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering from 2020 to 2023.
Her international academic and research engagements include appointments and fellowships at the University of Notre Dame, MIT, the University of Southampton, and West Virginia University.
